What I collect and why
- The Builder Diagnostic and email signups. Your email address, your first name if you give it, your diagnostic answers and results, and whether you agreed to receive emails. I use them to send your results, the Expertise Audit and the emails you signed up for. The legal basis is your consent. This data is stored in Kit (kit.com).
- Purchases. Your name, email and billing details, processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number. The legal basis is performing our contract and keeping the records tax law requires.
- Calls. When you book through Calendly, your name, email and the answers you give in the booking form. I use them to prepare for the call.
- Client work. For The Audit, The Build and startup advisory, the materials you share with me. The Audit intake form sends your answers to my email through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). I use them only to deliver the work and keep them confidential.
- Analytics. Google Analytics and PostHog show me which pages people visit, where they click and where they drop off. PostHog can also record how a page is used, with everything typed into forms masked. Both set cookies only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics sends cookieless pings and PostHog only counts anonymous visits. The legal basis is your consent.
- Hosting and fonts. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which processes IP addresses in its server logs. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Who processes your data
Kit (email), Stripe (payments), Calendly (scheduling), FormSubmit (intake form delivery), PostHog (product analytics), Google (Analytics, fonts and email hosting) and GitHub (hosting). Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. I don't sell your data or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Cookies
Google Analytics and PostHog set cookies only after you click Accept in the cookie banner. Your choice is saved in your browser so you aren't asked on every page. You can change it any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. Stripe and Calendly may set their own cookies once you're on their pages to pay or book a call.
How long I keep it
Subscriber data stays until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Client materials are kept for the length of the engagement and a reasonable period after, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to how I use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This site isn't meant for anyone under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their data.
